Cadet Leadership Course
The Cadet Leadership Course for 2019 takes place from 28 May through 1 June 2019 at Camp Ashland (NE Army National Guard), near Ashland, NE. This year's program will include more than 100 cadets from six high schools in Nebraska and Kansas, as well as cadre from the NE Army National Guard, University of Nebraska-Omaha AFROTC and University of Nebraska-Lincoln AFROTC programs. Additionally, the curriculum includes classroom sessions taught by Airman Leadership School instructors from Offutt Air Force Base.
Obviously, this is a very exciting week for our AFJROTC cadets as they participate in many team-building and leadership activities, flag posting and retreat ceremonies, including a Warrior Challenge obstacle course, a rappelling class, electronic firing range, helicopter ride, and water survival training activity at Mahoney State Park (wave pool and water slides!!). Finally, the school culminates on Saturday morning with awards presentation, formation and parade.
